On Oak Cliff Court, two corrugated metal pipes are failing, and the creek shows erosion that must be repaired. As this project is located in a floodplain, we will conduct upstream and downstream assessments to make sure any fixes we propose won’t affect the properties in either direction.

As this project is in the design phase, no final details are known. One solution we are considering is lining the pipes so that the lining will actually be larger than the pipes themselves. We would also flatten the slope to make it more stable. Why? These actions would allow the road or pipes to be widened in the future if needed. The solution we choose ultimately will improve the current strength of the pipes, which is important because failure to act could result in an eventual sinkhole. Construction will begin this year.
