Lyndale Retaining Wall
The Lyndale retaining wall project is currently in the preliminary design phase. Lyndale has an old timber retaining wall that is starting to move. The posts holding the horizontal timbers in place are showing signs of failure. We must reinforce the creek wall so it won’t affect the stability of Lyndale Road.
Our goal is to build a new wall. Before we can begin fixing the problem, we need to know the properties of the soil to determine how to best design the solution. After reviewing soil, we’ll choose what material makes sense for the wall. The options include a cast-in-place reinforced concrete gravity wall, soldier pile and lagging wall, sheet pile retaining wall, or precast concrete block wall. Construction will begin in 2018.
